If there are ties on the cover, attach them to the loops on the duvet so it stays in place.
Once the top portion is covered, slide the duvet cover down towards the bottom of the duvet.
If there is a zipper or an enclosure on the bottom of the duvet, close it so the duvet cover is secure.
If you tend to wash your bedsheets every week or 2 weeks, you may wash your duvet cover at the same time so your bed stays clean.
If your washing machine has a delicates or low speed setting, use it to wash your duvet cover. Do not use fabric softeners to wash the duvet cover, as they can break down the fabric. Avoid using bleach, as it can be too harsh on the cover.
If you do want to use the dryer, dry the cover on a very low heat setting.
Make sure you remove wrinkles and creases at the corners and ends of the cover with the iron. Be careful when using an iron. Always hold it by the handle and rest it on a flat surface so you do not burn yourself.
