The reality star and businesswoman tweeted on Tuesday morning that she is looking for places where people can donate toys, and she isn’t letting the coronavirus pandemic stop her. “I want to get back to my toy drive tweet. I tweeted somewhat early this morning so I want people to see it. If anybody knows of locations where people can donate new toys (COVID reasons) I would love any information I can get,” she wrote.

Folks flooded the replies section, giving Kardashian several great options for COVID-friendly donations this year.

One person suggested Operation Christmas Child, where you can “build a shoebox” online. These shoeboxes are filled with toys and other fun items, and can even include a personal letter or card for a child. Samaritan’s Purse International Relief will pack the box for you, ship it overseas, and distribute the items to kids.

USPS Operation Santa gives you the chance to be part of Santa’s workshop! You can read through letters and “adopt a child.” Shop for the perfect gift for them, wrap the gift, and bring it to any participating U.S. Post Office by December 19 to ship it out.

Toys for Tots has a virtual toy drive this year. The organization’s website lets you pick a child’s age range, along with toys, and place them in a virtual toy box. As always, the Marines Corps Reserve will take care of delivering the toys to children all over the country. You can also donate cash to the charity.

Another person suggested checking out Germany’s largest donation platform, Betterplace.org. It offers dozens of charities to donate to, including several for children in need.

Someone else suggested The Red Cross in Ireland, where you can donate toys, gifts and money to those in need.

One person pointed out that a group called Team Snixxmas (named after the late Glee star Naya Rivera’s annual holiday party) is holding a fundraiser benefitting Alexandria House, in Rivera’s honor. Alexandria House is a transitional home for women and children in Los Angeles, and Rivera used to volunteer her time there.

Wayne County, Ohio, residents were pointed toward the Foster Children Program. Donations of toys and clothes are needed, one Twitter user wrote.

Folks in New York were directed to Little Essentials, a nonprofit where you can donate new and gently used items for newborns and children up to five years old.

Someone also suggested calling up local hospitals and fire departments to find out how you can donate to children in your own community.
