Those are two of the NFL’s marquee franchises, and they were slated to play on Sunday Night Football in Week 15. But they were flexed out of that slot and instead placed at 1 p.m. ET Sunday in favor of Browns vs. Giants on Sunday night. It makes sense from a football standpoint, as the Cowboys (4-9) and 49ers (5-8) are both essentially out of the playoff race. Most fans won’t be deprived of watching that meaningless matchup if they want to, though, because CBS will be carrying it in the whole western half of the United States....

As Niners Nation points out, this is a minor hurdle. These tickets are going to sell out fast, and the best chance will be through the secondary market. (They note that the Broncos are running a similar policy for their game against the New England Patriots.) Of course, you could save yourself the money, watch the game at home where it isn't raining and you won't go through a ridiculously hostile experience with opposing fans....
