A new poll from The Economist/YouGov found 53 percent of U.S. adults replying “no” when asked if Trump should be allowed to pursue the Oval Office again. Thirty-seven percent of respondents took the opposite view, stating he should be able to run for office in the future. While an overwhelming percentage of Democrats surveyed (90 percent) said Trump shouldn’t be allowed to run for president again, the former commander-in-chief still enjoyed support from his base....

Fifty-seven percent said they think “something similar” to the Capital riot will happen again in the next few years, according to the Axios-Momentive poll. Twenty-three percent said they think it is “very likely” such an event will happen again soon, while 34 percent said it is “somewhat likely” to occur. Thirty-seven percent said such an event occurring again in the next few years is either “not so likely” or “not likely at all....

The ban on Chinese-made materials for solar panels was made by the Biden administration under a law that bans imports of goods made with forced labor. “These actions demonstrate our commitment to imposing additional costs on the People’s Republic of China for engaging in cruel and inhumane forced labor practices and ensuring that Beijing plays by the rules of fair trade as part of the rules-based international order,” a press statement released by the administration reads....

The survey, conducted by ABC News and Ipsos, collected responses from 570 U.S. adults between Friday and Saturday. It found that more than two-thirds of the poll’s participants—67 percent—blame the sitting president for Wednesday’s riots. Of that group, 52 percent of respondents said they believe Trump shoulders “a great deal” of liability, while another 15 percent said “a good amount” of fault, on his part, is warranted. Nearly all participants who identified as Democrats supported Trump’s removal from office, as did close to 60 percent of those who identified as independents....
