According to a new Ipsos poll conducted for Reuters, 71 percent Americans believed that former President Donald Trump was at least “partially” responsible for inciting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6. The national online survey of nearly 1,000 American adults was released after Trump’s lawyers presented their defense of the former president in the Senate impeachment trial on Friday. While majority of those surveyed said Trump was somewhat responsible for the riots, 30 percent said he was “fully” responsible for the attack that resulted in the death of five people, including a Capitol police officer....
The poll by Reuters and Ipsos Mori surveying American adults in the three days following the U.S. assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani found that 71 percent believed it was very or somewhat likely that the U.S. and Iran would be at war within a few years. By comparison, only 51 percent of Americans said had the same view in May 2019, with a third saying the scenario was not likely....

Simmons, 25, has reportedly been suspended by the 76ers as a result of multiple issues stemming from his actions during a number of the team’s practices. Vivian Cunningham, 78, was among the 553 students graduating in the Class of 2021 at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday. David Lidstone, known locally as “River Dave,” lived near New Hampshire’s Merrimack River in self-reliance. Recently, the current landowner sought to take down Lidstone’s cabin contending that Lidstone is a squatter. Lidstone was jailed on July 15 for a civil contempt sanction and was told he could get out of prison if he left the cabin. However, Lidstone told a judge Wednesday that he did not intend to leave....
